7:00 AM | **Dramatically colder next couple of days with the chance of rain and/or snow showers...maybe even a period of steadier snow**

Much colder air pushed into the region in the overnight hours and it’ll stick around for the next few days and it’ll be quite unsettled with rain and/or snow showers at times. There could even be a period of steadier snow later Friday into Friday night and a thunderstorm can mix into the picture as well. The weather will change dramatically again late in the weekend with drier and much warmer conditions returning for Sunday and Monday.

7:00 AM | *Another mild day around here, but then a colder and unsettled pattern returns for the remainder of the week*

After a mild day today, it’ll turn colder tonight and it remains unsettled and on the chilly side for the remainder of the week. The threat will increase for rain showers early tonight and then it could turn cold enough for some snow shower activity towards daybreak on Thursday. We’ll have to wait until Sunday and Monday for the return of drier and warmer weather to the Denver metro region.

A warming trend kicks into high gear today and it’ll lead to a couple of very pleasant days this weekend in the Denver metro region. In fact, after highs in the 60’s on Thursday, temperatures should peak in the upper 70’s each of the next three afternoons. The overall pattern turns wetter and cooler next week with the threat of showers returning to the region.

7:00 AM | *Great day for the Rockies home opener (2pm) and winds will be a big factor (blowing out)*

The Denver area enjoyed a warm day on Thursday and it’ll remain so today as well with afternoon highs in the low-to-mid 70’s…a good day for the Rockies home opener at 2:10pm. The winds will be a big factor today with gusts to 40 mph possible and it remains very windy well into the upcoming weekend. Temperatures will take a plunge on Saturday following the passage of a cold front with the 70’s today being replaced with the upper 40’s for highs as we begin the weekend and there can be rain and/or snow showers.
